The longest roller coaster in the world is the Steel Dragon 2000 at Nagashima Spa Land in Mie Prefecture, Japan. The ride is 2,479 feet long and has a top speed of 95 mph. It opened in 2000 and held the record for the longest roller coaster until 2005 when it was surpassed by The Beast at Kings Island in Ohio, USA.
