Education

As the largest county in Oklahoma with over half a million residents, Cleveland County is home to some of the best schools in the state. The most well-known high school is Southmoore High School (Enid), which was ranked as one of the top high schools in America by Newsweek. Hillcrest High School, which is just south of the city of Mooreville, has also earned its place on Newsweek’s list for two consecutive years due to its 97% graduation rate and 100% college readiness score.

Cleveland County schools are all part of the Moore Public School District – Southmoore Schools.

There are also many excellent post-secondary schools located in this area, including the University of Oklahoma’s Health Sciences Center, the University of Central Oklahoma, and Cameron University.
