What Is the Largest World’s Largest Toy Museum Complex?

A new report from British research company Euromonitor reveals that the largest toy museum complex in the world is located in Nuremberg, Germany. The Toy Museum of Europe boasts a collection of more than 140,000 toys and features many interactive exhibits for children to enjoy. In addition to its vast array of toys on display, visitors can also take part in workshops and activities throughout their visit while learning about the history behind some popular cultural icons such as Barbie or Lego.

The owner of the museum, Stefan Brunnhuber, is now looking to expand his collection further by purchasing more toys. He has already purchased a second building in the city to house some of his collection.

The museum opened its doors in 1992 and now attracts around 300,000 visitors each year from all over the world. Visitors can walk through re-creations of scenes such as an old schoolroom or bakery while learning about different toys that children would have played with at the time.

The museum has also added some new activities since its launch, including free toys for children to play with on Saturdays after school, as well as workshops where visitors can learn how to make their own wooden toy or personalized Christmas card. The city of Nuremberg is located in Bavaria, Germany, and hosts an annual toy fair each year which attracts over 100,000 visitors.

The Toy Museum of Europe has recently been recognized as one of the best museums in Germany, according to TripAdvisor. It also continues its expansion, with plans for a new location in Berlin slated for 2020.
